Mounted half hull ship builder’s model of the schooner “Polly Lewis” circa 1860, built in 12 lifts. Marked on the aft quarter. Brass plaque affixed to backboard indicates the 566 ton P.L. was built in Calais, ME and owned by A.S. & W.G. Lewis. Provenance : from a major Bristol, R.I. marine collection.
